A Drink Of Water
Every night while our mother was tucking my sister and I in our beds, my sister would always ask for a drink of water.
Our mother would go to the kitchen and bring back a full glass of water. My sister would so eagerly look forward to this glass of water only to take two or three sips and leave the rest.
This would go on for years. I was annoyed at this little game my sister would play every night. Then one day I asked my mother, "Why do you play along with her?" Her reply was, "If God would take her during the night, I would never forgive myself for denying her a drink of water."
After this, any time my sister wanted water, I would go to the kitchen and get it for my mother when she asked me to.
